The BANDO 3VX265 is a narrow cogged V-belt designed for power transmission in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive applications. Built from rubber with a cogged construction, the belt runs cooler and more efficiently than standard smooth V-belts by reducing bending resistance. It falls in the 3VX section, with a 3/8-inch width, 5/16-inch thickness, and 26.5-inch outside length. Rated to ARPM standards and resistant to heat and oil, this belt holds up in demanding service environments. Licensed HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors reach for this type of belt when servicing blower drives, fan assemblies, and compressor drives.
The 3VX265 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, air handlers, and general-purpose belt-drive equipment where a narrow cogged 3VX section belt is specified. The cogged profile allows it to wrap tighter-radius sheaves without the cracking or heat buildup common in solid-construction belts. It is also used in agricultural, refrigeration, and industrial motor-drive setups where ARPM-compliant belt sizing is required. Installers should verify the driven and driver sheave groove profiles match the 3VX section before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for 3VX section cogged V-belt drive systems requiring a 26.5-inch outside length and 3/8-inch belt width per ARPM sizing standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Always shut off and lock out the drive motor before removing or installing belts. Never pry a belt over a sheave with a tool — back off the motor mount to relieve tension before seating the belt, then re-tension according to the equipment manufacturer specification. Inspect sheave grooves for wear before installing a new belt.
