The plug chamfer configuration provides a gradual lead-in, making it well suited for through-hole tapping operations. With 3 flutes and a right-hand thread direction, this tap pushes chips ahead of the cut to keep the flutes clear. The bright, uncoated finish allows direct inspection of the tool and works across a broad selection of workpiece materials.
