The BALAX 13507-010 is a thread forming extension tap designed for producing internal threads in ductile materials without cutting. Running 3/8-16 UNC threads to an H7 limit, this tap uses a bottoming chamfer to form threads close to the bottom of a hole. The 4-inch overall length gives machinists and toolroom technicians reach into recessed or deep-pocket features that standard-length taps cannot access. Manufactured from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it is suited for use in manual tapping, CNC, or drill-press operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
