The BALAX 11285-010 is a thread forming tap designed for creating internal threads in blind hole applications. Unlike cutting taps, this forming tap displaces material rather than removing chips, producing stronger threads with a better surface finish. It is made from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish and belongs to the BXB series. The tap carries a 6-32 UNC thread size with a Class 2B fit and an H5 thread limit. Overall length is 2 inches with a thread length of 0.45 inches and a tapping depth of 0.6875 inches.
