The AY MCDONALD 4423-374 is a 1/2 inch PEX-A poly insert coupling designed to join two sections of 1/2 inch PEX-A tubing in potable water and hydronic piping systems. The insert-style fitting slides into the PEX tubing and is secured with a crimp ring or clamp ring using the appropriate tool. Its poly construction makes it lightweight and resistant to corrosion, scaling, and the dezincification issues associated with brass fittings in certain water chemistries.
