The Audix M40W6HC is a miniaturized condenser microphone featuring a fully integrated preamp. It is designed for high sensitivity and effective distance miking. This ceiling-mounted microphone is suitable for various applications such as Video Teleconferencing (VTC), distance learning, hospital environments, surveillance, and ambient room miking.

The microphone provides complete immunity against RF interference from mobile phones and GSM devices. It comes with a cardioid capsule but can also be configured with hypercardioid or shotgun capsules, making it versatile for different audio capturing needs.

Installation of the M40 is straightforward, requiring only a five-eighths inch hole to be drilled in the ceiling tile. There are no additional tools needed for installation. The microphone cable assembly includes terminal block connectors, enhancing ease of setup. For applications requiring plenum-rated cables, a UL rated metal plenum junction box is available.
