The AU-VE-CO PRODUCTS 23793 is an oval head sheet metal screw designed for fastening sheet metal assemblies in HVAC, electrical, and general trade applications. Manufactured from steel with a zinc finish for corrosion resistance, this screw features a Phillips Pozidriv drive and an M4.2 thread diameter with a 25mm length. The Type A and Type AB point types allow it to self-start in thin-gauge sheet metal without pre-drilling in most applications. It is installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers during equipment assembly, duct fabrication, and panel fastening tasks.
This screw is suited for light to medium sheet metal work in residential and commercial settings. Common install scenarios include securing HVAC cabinet panels, electrical enclosure covers, junction box lids, and similar thin-gauge metal components. The oval head profile sits low and slightly countersunk for a finished appearance on exposed fastener locations. Sold as individual units with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces.
Designed as a standard M4.2 x 25mm oval head sheet metal screw suitable for use in HVAC cabinet assembly, electrical enclosures, and general sheet metal fastening applications where Type A or Type AB point screws are specified.
Install using a Phillips or Pozidriv screwdriver bit appropriate for the drive size. Always de-energize and lock out electrical equipment before fastening panels or enclosure covers per NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Avoid over-torquing, which can strip threads in thin-gauge sheet metal or crack the zinc finish. Confirm point type compatibility with the base metal thickness before installation.
