The ATW SECURITY bt-600 is a bus terminal expander that converts a single control-panel terminal into six individual screw terminals. It is designed for low-voltage security, fire, and access-control wiring applications where multiple field devices or conductors must land on a single panel output. The bt-600 simplifies homerun wiring by fanning out one source terminal into six discrete connection points, reducing wire bundling and keeping terminations organized inside a panel enclosure. Licensed alarm installers and low-voltage technicians are the primary installers of this device.
The bt-600 is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a control panel's output terminal capacity is limited. Typical uses include distributing panel power to multiple sensors or devices, splitting a phone tip-and-ring pair to several zones, or connecting multiple speaker loads to a single amplifier output. It is particularly useful in retrofit installations where existing panels have limited terminal real estate and additional field wiring must be added without replacing the panel.
Designed as an OEM-style accessory for low-voltage control panels used in security, fire alarm, and access-control systems where terminal expansion is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or alarm technician in accordance with applicable local codes and NFPA 72 guidelines where applicable. De-energize the control panel before making any terminal connections to prevent damage to the panel or field devices. Ensure conductor gauge and insulation rating are appropriate for the circuit voltage and current before landing wires on the expander terminals. Do not exceed the current capacity of the source terminal on the control panel when distributing power through the bt-600.
