The ATLASIED HK-40CN is a hardware bag containing 40 cage nuts designed for use in standard rack enclosures. Cage nuts secure equipment rails and panels to open-frame or enclosed racks by snapping into square-hole rack rails and accepting machine screws. This hardware is a staple consumable for AV installers, network technicians, and low-voltage tradespeople who rack-mount amplifiers, signal processors, patch panels, and similar equipment. Having a dedicated bag of 40 cage nuts on hand keeps rack builds moving without interruption when hardware counts run short during installation or equipment swap-outs.
The HK-40CN is suited for residential and commercial rack installations where square-hole rails are used. It is a practical add-on for any project that involves populating a new rack enclosure or retrofitting existing racks with additional gear. AV integrators, IT installers, and low-voltage contractors will find this bag useful during both initial build-outs and ongoing maintenance work where cage nuts are routinely consumed or misplaced.
Designed as an OEM-style accessory for standard square-hole rack enclosures and open-frame rack systems commonly used in AV, IT, and low-voltage installations.
Cage nuts are installed by low-voltage and AV technicians using a cage nut insertion tool or flat-blade screwdriver to snap each nut into the square hole of the rack rail. Ensure the rack is de-energized and any mounted equipment is safely supported before adjusting hardware. Follow the rack manufacturer guidelines and applicable low-voltage installation codes when building out or modifying rack enclosures. Do not overtighten rack screws after cage nuts are seated, as this can deform the nut and compromise the hold.
