The ATLANTIC WATERGARDENS 74234 is an Eco-Blox water matrix module used in underground stormwater management, rainwater harvesting, and decorative water feature applications. The unit functions as a structural void former, creating a subsurface reservoir or detention basin without the use of gravel fill. Installers stack and link individual modules to build a custom-volume underground chamber. At 19 pounds per unit, the module is manageable for a single technician during placement. Landscape contractors, irrigation specialists, and pond installation professionals are the primary installers.
This water matrix module is suited for residential and light commercial installations including rain gardens, French drain upgrades, dry creek beds, pondless waterfall basins, and underground cistern systems. Modules are designed to be buried beneath soil or aggregate and covered with geotextile fabric to retain surrounding media while allowing water infiltration and storage within the void space.
Designed as an OEM-style modular unit for use in underground water storage and stormwater management systems where interlocking matrix modules are specified.
Installation is typically performed by landscape contractors or irrigation professionals. Excavate the basin to the required depth and line with geotextile fabric before placing modules. Stack and interlock units per the planned reservoir volume, then wrap the assembly with fabric and backfill with approved material. Verify local stormwater and grading codes before beginning any subsurface water retention project.
