The ATKORE BRC-50-1AKON is a threaded malleable iron conduit bushing designed for use with rigid and IMC conduit in indoor electrical installations. The bushing features a zinc-plated finish and includes an integrated aluminum lug rated for 4 to 14 AWG aluminum or copper conductors, along with one set screw for secure wire termination. Rated to 150 degrees C, it is built for environments where thermal performance and conductor protection at conduit terminations are essential. Licensed electricians install this fitting at the end of a conduit run where the conduit enters a panel, junction box, or enclosure.
This bushing is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work where rigid or IMC conduit terminates indoors. The 1/2 inch trade size fits standard half-inch threaded conduit entries. The aluminum lug supports both aluminum and copper conductors in the 4 to 14 AWG range, making it practical for feeder and branch circuit terminations where code requires a listed grounding or bonding bushing with lug.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch trade size rigid metal conduit and IMC in indoor applications. Compatible with both aluminum and copper conductors ranging from 4 to 14 AWG at the lug termination point.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code. De-energize and lock out the circuit before working at any panel or enclosure entry point. Thread the bushing fully onto the conduit end before inserting into the knockout, and torque the set screw to secure the conductor using a proper insulated screwdriver or hex key. This fitting is rated for indoor use only.
