The ATKORE 702-1-1/4-EG is a 2-piece, channel-mount pipe strap designed for securing 1-1/4 inch trade size IMC, rigid conduit, pipe, and EMT to strut channel systems. Constructed from 14-gauge carbon steel with an electro-galvanized finish, it carries an 800-pound load rating. The strap features a combination slot-and-hex bolt head and a captivated square nut on the shoulder, allowing one-handed tightening during installation. It twists into any slot position along the side of compatible channel, giving installers flexibility without disassembling the run. Pipe and conduit size markings on the strap itself simplify identification on the job.
This strap is suited for commercial and industrial electrical and mechanical installations where conduit or pipe must be supported from strut channel. It is part of the Superstrut Series 702 product line and is engineered for channel-mount applications where rigid or IMC conduit, EMT, or standard pipe requires secure, rated support. Straps ship pre-assembled, reducing sorting time on larger jobs. The design is also interchangeable with 1-1/2 inch strut channel, broadening its usable application range across different framing configurations.
Designed for use with Superstrut channel systems. Compatible with IMC, rigid conduit, pipe, and EMT at 1-1/4 inch trade size with a 1.66-inch outer diameter. Interchangeable with 1-1/2 inch strut channel for broader application.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or pipefitters working on conduit support systems. Power down or de-energize all circuits in the work area before securing conduit. Twist-insert the strap into the channel slot at the desired location, then tighten the single bolt using a combination slot or hex driver. Follow applicable NEC and local code requirements for conduit support spacing and load ratings.
