The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 206-612 is an extra-strong die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and press tooling where high-cycle compression force is required. Wound from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, this spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 4151.50 newtons over a maximum deflection of 19.00 mm. The free length is 76.00 mm (3 inches), the hole diameter is 32.00 mm, and the rod diameter is 16.00 mm. The yellow color coding identifies the extra-strong duty rating per ISO 10243 standards, making identification fast and reliable in a shop environment. Tool and die makers, press operators, and maintenance machinists are the primary installers.
This die spring is suited for industrial tooling applications including progressive dies, compound dies, injection molds, and similar high-load press equipment. The extra-strong duty rating makes it appropriate for applications demanding elevated spring force in a compact envelope. It fits over a 16.00 mm guide rod and seats inside a 32.00 mm hole, which is a common configuration in both metric and mixed tooling setups. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit die spring for stamping dies, molds, and press tooling requiring a 32.00 mm hole diameter, 16.00 mm rod diameter, and 76.00 mm free length with an extra-strong duty rating per ISO 10243.
Die spring replacement is typically performed by tool and die makers or skilled maintenance machinists with the press locked out and de-energized per LOTO procedures. Ensure the guide rod and pocket bore are clean and free of burrs before seating the spring. Do not compress the spring beyond the rated maximum deflection of 19.00 mm, as exceeding travel to solid load will damage the spring and tooling. Inspect mating components for wear during each spring replacement interval.
