The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 203-510 is a heavy-duty die spring engineered for use in metal stamping dies, press tooling, and industrial mold applications. It features a trapezoidal wire cross-section that delivers higher load capacity per unit of deflection compared to standard round-wire springs. With a free length of 2.5 inches and a maximum deflection of approximately 0.98 inches, this green-coded spring falls in the medium-to-heavy load range per ISO 10243 color classification. Constructed from chromium alloy steel, it is built to withstand repeated high-cycle loading in demanding tooling environments. Installation is performed by tooling engineers, die makers, and maintenance technicians in manufacturing and fabrication settings.
This die spring is suited for use in stamping dies, injection mold tooling, stripper plates, and similar precision tooling assemblies where consistent spring force and reliable return action are required. The green color code indicates a specific load range as defined under ISO 10243, making it straightforward to cross-reference and replace within existing die sets. It is appropriate for both OEM tooling builds and field maintenance replacement in production environments.
Designed as an ISO 10243 compliant die spring with a 25.00 mm hole diameter and 12.50 mm rod diameter, suitable for standard die sets and tooling assemblies requiring a green-series spring in this dimensional envelope.
Die springs are installed by tooling engineers or qualified die maintenance personnel. Before servicing or replacing springs in a press die, ensure the press is locked out and all stored energy is fully released. Inspect the mounting pocket and guide rod for wear or misalignment before installing the new spring, as side loading significantly reduces fatigue life. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 25.00 mm.
