The ASSOCIATED SPRING RAYMOND 203-112 is a green-coded die spring designed for use in stamping dies, injection molds, and progressive tooling applications. It is manufactured from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, which provides a higher load capacity relative to round-wire springs of the same envelope size. With a free length of 3 inches (76 mm), a rod diameter of 5 mm, and a hole diameter of 10 mm, this spring fits standard die spring pockets and conforms to ISO 10243 dimensional standards. The green color coding indicates a light load range per ISO 10243 classification. Tool and die makers, mold technicians, and press maintenance personnel are the primary installers.
This die spring suits light-duty stripping, ejection, and component return functions in metal stamping dies, plastic injection molds, and forming tooling. The 31.20 mm maximum deflection and a maximum deflection load of 99.80 N make it appropriate for applications requiring controlled, repeatable spring force at moderate travel. It is sized for installations where a 5 mm guide rod and a 10 mm counterbore hole are present, following standard ISO 10243 die spring geometry.
Designed as an ISO 10243 standard die spring replacement for tooling applications requiring a 10 mm hole diameter, 5 mm rod diameter, and 3-inch free length in the green light-load category.
Die springs are installed and serviced by tool and die makers or press maintenance technicians. Before replacing a die spring, the press or mold must be fully de-energized, the ram blocked, and all stored mechanical energy relieved. Springs should be installed fully seated on the guide rod and within the counterbore pocket to prevent lateral buckling under load. Never exceed the rated maximum deflection; compressing a die spring to solid will accelerate fatigue failure and reduce service life.
