The ASPEN DE42D44-210R-422 is a cased, multi-position evaporator coil from the DE Series, designed for split-system residential and light commercial HVAC installations. Rated at 3.5 nominal tons, this coil features rifled aluminum tubing and enhanced aluminum fins for efficient heat transfer. The aluminum cabinet measures 21 inches wide, 30 inches tall, and 21.5 inches deep. Each coil is air pressure tested at 500 psi, leak tested with helium, then sealed and nitrogen pressurized from the factory. Installation is handled by licensed HVAC technicians during new equipment installation or coil replacement service calls.
The DE42D44-210R-422 is suited for residential split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications requiring a 3.5-ton evaporator coil. Its multi-position design supports upflow, horizontal right, and horizontal left orientations without field modification. Downflow applications require a field conversion kit, which is included. Left- or right-hand refrigerant and plumbing connections provide flexibility in tight mechanical spaces. The coil is ETL listed for use with both R-22 and R-410A refrigerants when the appropriate metering device is installed, and it is AHRI certifiable with all brands of AC and heat pump systems.
AHRI certifiable with all brands of residential and light commercial split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. ETL listed for use with both R-22 and R-410A refrigerants when the proper metering device is installed.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following local mechanical codes and manufacturer instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off refrigerant flow before removing or installing the coil. Verify the correct metering device is matched to the refrigerant type in use — the coil is not a fixed-orifice or TXV assembly on its own. Downflow orientation requires the included field kit before the unit is placed into service.
