The ASPEN CA36A3G-130R-003 is an uncased evaporator coil rated for 2.5 to 3 ton (36,000 BTU/h) residential and light commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems. The coil features rifled copper tubing and enhanced aluminum fins for efficient heat transfer. It is immersion-tested at 500 psi and then nitrogen-pressurized and sealed for leak integrity. An externally mounted flowrater body with a Schrader valve allows hiss-testing in the field without disassembly. Licensed HVAC technicians install this coil as the indoor heat-exchange component of a split system.
This coil is configured for upflow and downflow installations. Upflow operation requires no field modification. Downflow applications require a plate kit, which is included. The left- or right-hand refrigerant and plumbing connections offer flexibility for tight equipment rooms and utility closets. The liquid line connection is 3/8 inches ODS and the suction line is 3/4 inches ODS, appropriate for 1.5 to 3 ton systems. A heavy-duty polypropylene drain pan handles condensate in both orientations. This coil is suitable for residential split systems paired with a compatible air handler or furnace.
AHRI certifiable with all brands of air conditioning and heat pump systems. ETL listed for use with both R-22 and R-410A refrigerants when the proper metering device is installed. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation uncased evaporator coil for 2.5 to 3 ton split systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines. Shut down and lock out the system, and recover all refrigerant per EPA Section 608 regulations before disconnecting any refrigerant lines. Downflow installations require the included plate kit — do not operate in downflow orientation without it. Verify the metering device type and refrigerant charge specification from the outdoor unit nameplate before commissioning the system.
