The ASHCROFT B424V 1000# is a watertight single setpoint pressure switch designed for industrial and commercial pressure monitoring applications. It features a 316 stainless steel wetted material construction for corrosion resistance and a rugged aluminum housing. The switch supports a wide voltage range including 125, 250, and 480 volts AC and 30, 125, and 250 volts DC, with an SPDT contact form. It connects via a 1/4 inch male NPTF thread and is rated for use with air, food, oil, and water media. Licensed trades including instrumentation and industrial service technicians install this switch in process control, HVAC, and fluid handling systems.
This pressure switch is suited for both residential and commercial installations where watertight protection and wide media compatibility are required. Its setpoint is field-adjustable, making it adaptable across a range of pressure control scenarios. The switch is rated for operating temperatures from -20 degrees F to 150 degrees F, covering most standard indoor and outdoor service environments. It carries FM, UL, CE, and CRN certifications as standard, with optional ATEX, CSA, and IECEx listings available, making it suitable for classified hazardous locations including Class I Division 1 Groups B, C, and D and Class II Division 1 Groups E, F, and G. SIL 3 capable rating supports use in safety instrumented systems.
Rated for use with air, food, oil, and water media systems. Suitable for process control, fluid handling, and HVAC pressure monitoring applications requiring a watertight SPDT pressure switch with a 1/4 inch male NPTF connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified instrumentation technician or licensed industrial service professional in accordance with applicable electrical codes including the NEC for hazardous location requirements. Isolate and depressurize the system and de-energize all related circuits before installation or removal. Use appropriate thread sealant rated for the media type on the 1/4 inch NPTF connection. Verify setpoint adjustment after installation before returning the system to service.
