The ASHCROFT 96268 is a process industrial pressure gauge designed for demanding commercial and industrial applications where accurate, reliable pressure monitoring is required. Featuring a 4.5-inch analog dial with a range of 0 to 2000 psi and a stated accuracy of 0.5% of scale, this gauge delivers the precision that industrial service technicians and process engineers depend on. The thermoplastic case is rated IP66/NEMA 4X, making it suitable for wet or wash-down environments. A glass lens protects the dial face, and the gauge ships dry with no liquid fill.
This gauge is intended for process and industrial installations where a rear flange mount configuration is required. The 0.5-inch MNPT threaded connection makes it compatible with standard pipe fittings used in industrial process lines, HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air, water treatment, and similar fluid-handling applications. It is typically installed by licensed pipefitters, industrial mechanics, or HVAC service technicians. The Series 1279 designation places it within a recognized product family built for process service duty. CRN certification supports use in Canadian pressure vessel and pressure piping applications.
Designed as an OEM-style or replacement process gauge for industrial pressure monitoring installations requiring a 4.5-inch rear flange mount configuration with a 0.5-inch MNPT connection and a 0 to 2000 psi range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or licensed mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and the ASME B31.3 process piping standard. Depressurize and isolate the process line completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply thread sealant to the MNPT connection per the fitting manufacturer's recommendation and avoid overtightening, which can crack a thermoplastic-bodied gauge. Confirm the process media is compatible with the thermoplastic case material before placing the gauge in service.
