The ASHCROFT 96263 is used in process and industrial environments where accurate pressure monitoring of gases or liquids is needed at measurement points up to 1000 psi. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation process pressure gauge for industrial piping systems, panel boards, and mechanical equipment requiring a rear flange mount, 1/2 inch MNPT connection, and a 4-1/2 inch dial in the 0 to 1000 psi range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, millwright, or licensed mechanical technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing an existing gauge or threading in the new unit. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads per the system fluid compatibility requirements and applicable piping codes. Do not over-torque the threaded connection, as thermoplastic gauge bodies have lower torque tolerances than metal-case gauges.
