The ASHCROFT 96226 is a process industrial pressure gauge designed for demanding applications that require reliable, readable pressure monitoring. It features a 4.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 160 psi range and delivers 0.5% of scale accuracy. The case is constructed from thermoplastic, and the lens is glass. Connection is made via a 0.5-inch MNPT rear-entry fitting, with a rear flange mount configuration for panel or surface installation. This gauge is not liquid-filled. It is typically installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals on process piping and pressure systems.
This gauge is suited for process and industrial pressure monitoring in both commercial and light industrial environments. The rear flange mount makes it appropriate for panel-mounted installations where the dial must face outward for easy reading. The 4.5-inch dial size provides clear visibility from a distance in mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, and process skids. It carries CRN certification and meets IP66 and NEMA 4X environmental protection ratings, making it suitable for wet or washdown environments.
Designed as an OEM-style process pressure gauge for industrial and commercial piping systems using a 0.5-inch MNPT rear connection with rear flange mounting. ASHCROFT Series 1279.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified industrial technician. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads per local code requirements, taking care not to overtighten the thermoplastic-connected fitting. Verify the pressure range of the gauge matches the maximum operating pressure of the system before placing it into service.
