The ASHCROFT 95291 is a liquid-filled analog pressure gauge designed for accurate system pressure monitoring in demanding trade applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial graduated from 0 to 1,500 psi and achieves 1% of scale accuracy across its full range. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance suitable for wet, oily, or chemically active environments. Liquid filling dampens pointer vibration and protects internal components from pulsation damage, extending service life in high-cycle systems. This gauge is well suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant circuits, compressed air systems, hydraulic lines, and industrial process piping where a 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection is standard. The center back mount orientation allows the gauge to sit flush against panels or pipe assemblies, keeping the dial clearly visible without extending the gauge body forward into the work area. Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service fluid to the NPT threads and tighten to the fitting snug-plus-turns by hand first to avoid cross-threading. Do not over-tighten the gauge body, as stainless steel fittings can gall; use a wrench on the hex of the gauge connection, not on the case.
