The ASHCROFT 95099 is an analog pressure gauge designed for vacuum measurement in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and industrial service applications. It features a 3.5-inch dial face for easy reading in the field and a lower-mount 1/4-inch NPT connection for direct installation into process lines, manifolds, or system ports. The gauge reads a vacuum range of 30 to 0 inches of mercury (Hg) with 1 percent of scale accuracy. The stainless steel case provides durability in environments with moisture, mild corrosives, or mechanical vibration. This gauge is dry (non-liquid-filled), making it straightforward to install and service.
The ASHCROFT 95099 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration service, and plumbing applications where vacuum or negative pressure monitoring is required. The lower-mount NPT connection allows for panel-mount or inline installation at the base of the gauge. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers use this style of gauge for monitoring system vacuum levels, checking line pressure, and verifying system integrity during commissioning or service calls.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service gauge for HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems requiring a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount vacuum gauge with a 3.5-inch dial.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or plumbers. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service medium to the NPT threads and tighten to hand-tight plus a modest wrench turn — do not overtighten, as this can damage the gauge socket. Verify the gauge range is appropriate for the system pressure before placing the system back in service.
