The ASHCROFT 95088 is an analog pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial face for easy readability and a lower-mount 1/4-inch NPT connection for direct inline installation. The gauge reads from -30 inches Hg (vacuum) to 150 psi, covering both vacuum and positive pressure ranges in a single instrument. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance in wet or chemically active environments. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of full scale, which is suitable for most field diagnostic and commissioning work. This gauge is not liquid-filled, keeping the design simple and lightweight at 1 pound.
The ASHCROFT 95088 is well suited for residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and hydronic heating applications where a compact, reliable pressure indication is needed. Typical install scenarios include boiler system pressure monitoring, suction-side refrigerant circuit checks, pump discharge lines, and compressed air service. The lower-mount NPT connection allows direct threaded installation into a tee fitting, manifold port, or pressure tap without additional fittings in most cases. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of instrument gauge.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service gauge for systems using standard 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount pressure gauge ports, including HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and light industrial installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 gauge standards. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads and tighten to hand-tight plus wrench snug — do not overtighten, as this can crack the gauge socket. Verify the system pressure range does not exceed the 150 psi maximum rating of this gauge before returning the system to service.
