The ASHCROFT 94887 is an analog industrial pressure gauge designed for continuous monitoring of system pressure in plumbing, HVAC, and general industrial applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial face with a 0 to 30 psi range and delivers 1% of scale accuracy, making it suitable for applications where reliable, repeatable readings are required. The gauge uses a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube as the sensing element and is housed in a stainless steel case with a polycarbonate lens. Connection is made via a 1/4-inch NPT center back mount fitting. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance personnel are the primary installers.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, hydronic heating circuits, water treatment equipment, and compressed air or gas monitoring installations where a 0 to 30 psi operating range covers the expected system pressure. The center back mount configuration positions the dial flush against a panel or pipe fitting, keeping the gauge compact and readable in tight mechanical rooms or equipment enclosures. It is intended for dry, non-liquid-filled service and carries certifications for CRN, IP54, IP65/NEMA 4, PED, and RoHS compliance, broadening its applicability across jurisdictions and environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install industrial pressure gauge for systems operating within a 0 to 30 psi range using a 1/4-inch NPT back-mount connection point.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service medium to the NPT threads and tighten to hand-tight plus the wrench turns specified by the fitting manufacturer. Do not over-torque the stainless steel case connection, as this can damage the Bourdon tube or crack the fitting boss.
