Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads per the applicable piping code (IPC or IFGC) before threading into the port — do not overtighten, as this can damage the brass socket. Verify that the system operating pressure does not exceed the gauge maximum to prevent dial damage or seal failure.
