Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local codes and the IFGC or IPC as relevant to the system. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads per standard practice, taking care not to over-tighten the brass or stainless fitting into soft valve bodies. Do not use pipe wrenches on the gauge case; use a wrench only on the hex of the process connection.
