The ASHCROFT 94491 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for demanding mechanical and process applications. It features a 3.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 600 psi range and delivers 1 percent of scale accuracy. The gauge mounts from the lower connection using a 1/4-inch NPT thread. The stainless steel case and 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube make it suitable for corrosive environments and wet locations. Liquid filling dampens pointer vibration and protects internal components from pulsating pressure lines. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and process mechanics are the typical installers for this gauge.
This gauge fits residential and commercial installations where reliable pressure monitoring is required on gas, water, steam, or hydraulic lines within its rated range. The lower-mount configuration positions the connection at the six-o-clock position on the gauge body, which suits panel mounting and direct pipe-thread installation on vertical runs. The polycarbonate lens provides a clear reading surface while resisting impact. Its compliance with CRN, IP54, IP65/NEMA 4, PED, and RoHS standards makes it appropriate for a broad range of regulated industrial and mechanical system applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install industrial pressure gauge for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems requiring a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection and a 0 to 600 psi measurement range.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified mechanic in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 guidelines for pressure gauges. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply an appropriate thread sealant to the NPT connection and tighten to hand-tight plus the recommended turns per the pipe fitting standard — do not over-torque the stainless steel threads. Verify the line pressure is within the 0 to 600 psi rated range before returning the system to service.
