The ASHCROFT 94478 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding service environments. It features a 2.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 200 psi range and delivers 1 percent of scale accuracy. The Bourdon tube is constructed from 316 stainless steel, and the case is 304/316 stainless steel, making the gauge suitable for corrosive or washdown applications. A polycarbonate lens protects the dial face. The liquid-filled design dampens needle vibration and pulsation, extending service life in high-cycle systems. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This gauge is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and light industrial piping systems where continuous or intermittent pressure readings are required. The lower-mount, 1/4-inch NPT male connection allows direct installation into threaded ports on pumps, manifolds, pipe tees, and pressure vessels. The liquid fill makes it well suited for systems with pump-driven pulsation or mechanical vibration that would otherwise cause dial flutter and premature wear.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation gauge for industrial, commercial, and residential systems with 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount threaded pressure ports in the 0 to 200 psi service range.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or qualified industrial maintenance technicians. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Use thread sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT threads and tighten to the fitting manufacturer's specification — avoid using the dial case as a wrench surface. Verify the process fluid is compatible with stainless steel wetted parts before placing the gauge in service.
