The ASHCROFT 94338 is an analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping systems. It features a 3.5-inch dial face calibrated from 0 to 100 psi, providing clear readability in tight mechanical rooms or equipment bays. The stainless steel case offers corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of full scale, meeting the demands of trade professionals who require reliable readings during system commissioning, pressure testing, and routine maintenance. This is a dry (non-liquid-filled) gauge suited for non-pulsating pressure applications.
This gauge is appropriate for residential and light commercial installations where a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection is required. The lower-mount (stem-bottom) configuration makes it well suited for installation directly into pipe fittings, manifolds, pressure taps, or equipment ports oriented for bottom entry. Typical applications include water supply systems, hydronic heating loops, compressed air lines, and HVAC refrigerant circuits where the pressure does not exceed 100 psi. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 gauge installation guidelines. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT threads and tighten to fitting manufacturer specifications using a wrench on the gauge hex body — do not torque by the case. On pulsating or high-vibration lines, consider adding a snubber or isolator valve to protect the gauge movement.
