The ASHCROFT 94240 is an analog pressure gauge rated to 1,500 psi, designed for use in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid systems where reliable pressure monitoring is required. It features a 3.5-inch dial for easy reading in the field and mounts via a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance in wet or chemically active environments. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of full scale, making it suitable for system commissioning, service diagnostics, and ongoing pressure monitoring in demanding trade applications.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a lower-mount configuration is needed on risers, manifolds, pump discharge lines, boiler systems, or compressed-air circuits. The 1/4-inch NPT thread is a common connection size found throughout plumbing and HVAC pipework. The non-liquid-filled design keeps weight low and is appropriate for systems without extreme vibration. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters are the typical installers for this type of instrument.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-installation pressure gauge for systems with 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount ports operating up to 1,500 psi, including plumbing risers, HVAC hydronic systems, boiler circuits, and compressed-air lines.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or compound rated for the service pressure to the NPT threads before installation. Do not over-tighten the gauge body; use a wrench on the hex fitting only to avoid stressing the case or dial.
