The ASHCROFT 94239 is a 3.5-inch analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure measurement in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service applications. It reads from 0 to 1,000 psi with an accuracy rating of 1 percent of scale, making it suitable for systems where reliable pressure indication is required. The gauge features a lower-mount 1/4-inch NPT connection and is housed in a stainless steel case, providing corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. This is a dry (non-liquid-filled) gauge intended for installation by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters working on pressurized systems.
The ASHCROFT 94239 is suited for residential and commercial applications including water lines, compressed air systems, hydronic heating systems, and HVAC refrigeration circuits where monitoring system pressure at a fixed point is required. The lower-mount NPT configuration allows direct inline or manifold installation with a standard 1/4-inch port. The stainless steel case makes it appropriate for environments with moisture exposure or mild corrosive conditions.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation gauge for systems with a standard 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount port rated to 1,000 psi, including compressed air, water, hydronic, and HVAC applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and system requirements. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing an existing gauge or installing a new one. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the NPT threads per manufacturer and code guidance — do not overtighten, as this can crack the gauge socket or distort the bourdon tube. Verify that the gauge pressure range is appropriate for the system being monitored before placing it in service.
