The ASHCROFT 94231 is an analog industrial pressure gauge rated from 0 to 1500 psi, designed for demanding mechanical and process piping applications. The gauge features a 2.5-inch dial diameter with a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection, making it a straightforward drop-in for panel installations and inline service points. The stainless steel case is rated to IP54 and IP65/NEMA 4 for protection against dust and water ingress. Accuracy is 1 percent of full scale, which meets typical field instrumentation requirements. The Bourdon tube is constructed of 316 stainless steel, and the lens is polycarbonate. This gauge is installed by plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance trades.
The ASHCROFT 94231 is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems, HVAC hydronic circuits, compressed air lines, and light industrial process piping where pressures up to 1500 psi must be monitored. The lower-mount NPT connection allows direct installation into tee fittings, manifolds, and gauge ports without an additional adapter in most standard configurations. The dry, non-liquid-filled design keeps the unit lightweight and simplifies installation in environments where temperature fluctuations are not extreme enough to require dampening fluid.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install industrial pressure gauge for systems using a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection with a pressure range up to 1500 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified mechanical technician. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads per local plumbing code requirements. Do not over-torque the gauge body; hand-tighten and use a wrench only on the hex of the process connection, not the gauge case.
