The ASHCROFT 94230 is an analog pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid systems. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a 0 to 1,000 psi range and delivers 1 percent of scale accuracy, giving technicians a reliable visual reference without the need for electronic instrumentation. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. Connection is via a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount fitting, which positions the gauge directly in line with the process port for a clean, compact installation. Dry-fill construction keeps the internal mechanism free from fluid damping.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial applications including water supply lines, boiler systems, compressed air lines, refrigeration service manifolds, and hydraulic test setups. The lower-mount NPT configuration makes it a straightforward drop-in for panel-mounted or pipe-thread installations where the process connection enters from the bottom of the gauge. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters commonly use this type of gauge during system commissioning and pressure testing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service addition for systems using 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount analog pressure gauges rated up to 1,000 psi.
This gauge is installed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or pipefitter. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing the existing gauge or installing this unit. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to the NPT threads per IPC and IFGC guidelines — do not overtighten, as stainless gauge connections can crack under excess torque. Verify pressure range is appropriate for the system before placing the gauge in service.
