The ASHCROFT 94223 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding environments. It features a 3.5-inch analog dial with a measurement range of 0 to 2000 psi and 1 percent of scale accuracy. The lower-mount, 1/4-inch NPT connection makes it compatible with standard threaded ports on industrial piping, HVAC systems, and process equipment. The stainless steel case and polycarbonate lens protect internal components against corrosion, moisture ingress, and mechanical impact. Licensed technicians and industrial service professionals install this gauge as a primary or replacement instrument where reliable pressure indication is required.
This gauge suits commercial and industrial applications where vibration, pulsation, or corrosive media would compromise a standard dry gauge. Liquid filling damps pointer movement caused by pressure spikes or mechanical vibration, extending service life and improving readability under dynamic conditions. Typical install scenarios include hydraulic systems, refrigeration circuits, boiler and steam lines, chemical processing skids, and compressed-air distribution headers. The lower-mount orientation fits panel-mounted and direct-piping configurations in both horizontal and vertical pipe runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation industrial pressure gauge for systems with a standard 1/4-inch lower-mount NPT process connection rated to 2000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the pressure system being serviced. Isolate and depressurize the line before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the process media to the NPT male threads; do not over-tighten, as stainless-to-steel thread galling can damage the socket. Verify the system operating pressure does not exceed 75 percent of full-scale range during continuous service, per common gauge service guidelines.
