The ASHCROFT 92899 is an analog pressure gauge designed for accurate system pressure monitoring in industrial, commercial, and mechanical service applications. It features an 8.5-inch dial face for clear readability at a distance, a 0 to 150 psi range, and a bronze Bourdon tube movement that delivers 0.25 percent of scale accuracy. The aluminum case offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant housing suited for both stationary panel mounting and field service use. A lower-mount, 1/4-inch threaded connection makes installation straightforward on standard pressure taps and service ports. Licensed technicians and mechanical contractors typically specify this gauge where large-dial readability and precision measurement are both required.
This gauge is well suited for HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air lines, water supply systems, and general plumbing pressure testing where a 150 psi range covers the operating envelope. The 8.5-inch dial size is commonly selected for boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and equipment panels where operators need to read gauge readings from across the room. Lower-mount connection aligns the gauge face parallel to the panel surface, keeping the dial perpendicular and readable. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial mechanical installations as well as industrial utility monitoring.
Designed as an OEM-style analog pressure gauge for use on systems with a standard 1/4-inch lower-mount pressure port and a service range up to 150 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanical contractor. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the male threads per IPC and IFGC guidelines, and avoid over-tightening the aluminum case assembly. Do not exceed the rated 150 psi working pressure of the gauge.
