The ASHCROFT 92898 is an analog pressure gauge built for accurate, real-time pressure monitoring in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service applications. It features an 8.5-inch dial face for easy readability at a distance, a pressure range of 0 to 100 psi, and a bronze Bourdon tube sensing element paired with an aluminum case. Accuracy is rated at 0.25 percent of scale, making it suitable for applications where precise pressure readings matter. The lower-mount configuration accepts a 1/4-inch threaded connection for direct inline or panel installation. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers of this gauge.
This gauge is well suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, hydronic heating and cooling loops, compressed air lines, water supply systems, and general mechanical piping where a large, easy-to-read dial is required. The 8.5-inch dial diameter makes it a common choice for panel-mount or wall-mount installations where the gauge needs to be read from several feet away. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanical contractor. Shut off system pressure and bleed any residual pressure from the line before removing an existing gauge or connecting this unit. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the 1/4-inch male thread per standard piping practice, and do not over-tighten, as aluminum cases can crack under excessive torque. Verify that the system pressure does not exceed the 100 psi maximum rated range during normal or transient operating conditions.
