Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified industrial mechanic in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 pressure gauge standards. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Apply an appropriate thread sealant to the NPT threads and tighten to the fitting manufacturer's specified torque using a wrench on the gauge fitting hex, not the case. Do not over-torque the connection, and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to service.
