The ASHCROFT 83257 is an analog industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring across a wide range of industrial and mechanical systems. It features a 3.5-inch dial with a 0 to 1000 psi range and reads via a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube mechanism. The stainless steel case is liquid-filled, which dampens needle vibration and extends service life in high-pulsation environments. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of full scale. The 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection suits standard gauge port fittings common in piping, pump, and process systems. Installation is handled by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors.
This gauge is suited for industrial process monitoring, HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air systems, and fluid-handling applications requiring reliable pressure indication. The liquid-filled design makes it especially practical where vibration, pressure spikes, or pulsating media would cause flutter on a dry gauge. Center back mount configuration allows flush or panel mounting in control cabinets and equipment enclosures. It meets multiple compliance standards and is appropriate for both commercial and industrial installations where certification requirements apply.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install analog pressure gauge for industrial piping systems, HVAC hydronic circuits, and compressed air or fluid systems using 1/4-inch NPT center back mount gauge ports.
Install by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or mechanical contractor following applicable local codes and ASME B40.100 gauge installation guidelines. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing gauge or making connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads and tighten to hand-tight plus wrench turns as appropriate for the fitting material — do not overtighten stainless fittings. Verify the system operating pressure does not exceed the 1000 psi maximum range of this gauge.
