Installation of this pressure gauge should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified mechanical technician familiar with high-pressure systems and applicable codes such as the IPC or ASME B40.100. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the 1/4-inch male threads per the sealant manufacturer instructions, and do not overtighten, as stainless fittings are susceptible to galling. After installation, bring system pressure up gradually and inspect for leaks before returning the system to full operation.
