The ASHCROFT 83253 is an industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate, reliable pressure measurement in demanding environments. It features a 3-1/2 inch analog dial with a measurement range of 0 to 2,000 psi and a stated accuracy of 1% of scale. The gauge uses a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube as its sensing element and is housed in a stainless steel case rated at 304/316 grade. A polycarbonate lens protects the dial face. The center back mount configuration and 1/4 inch NPT thread connection make it suitable for panel-mounted or inline installations. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPT connection and tighten to the fitting manufacturer's recommended practice — avoid over-tightening, which can distort the gauge socket. Verify system operating pressure does not exceed the gauge maximum range during normal or surge conditions.
