The ASHCROFT 83214 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for continuous monitoring of system pressure in demanding trade and commercial applications. It features a 2.5-inch analog dial with a range of 0 to 15 psi and connects via a 0.25-inch NPT lower-mount fitting. The stainless steel case is rated to IP54 and IP65/NEMA 4, making it suitable for wet or washdown environments. Accuracy is 1 percent of scale. The Bourdon tube is 316 stainless steel, and the lens is polycarbonate. Liquid filling dampens needle vibration for stable readings under pulsating pressure conditions.
This gauge is well suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and industrial process lines where a compact, corrosion-resistant pressure indicator is required. The lower-mount NPT connection allows direct inline installation on pipe nipples, manifolds, or tee fittings. The gauge carries CRN, PED, and RoHS certifications, supporting use in pressure systems that require documented compliance. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance trades are the typical installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install gauge for industrial and commercial pressure monitoring applications using 0.25-inch NPT lower-mount connections with a 0 to 15 psi operating range.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial maintenance technician. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line before removing or installing any gauge. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads per standard practice, and avoid over-tightening, which can crack the socket or distort the Bourdon tube. Verify that the gauge range and media compatibility are appropriate for the system before placing in service.
