The ASHCROFT 83212 is an analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a measurement range of -30 to 100 Hg, providing both vacuum and positive pressure readings on a single scale. The stainless steel case offers corrosion resistance in demanding environments. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of scale, making it suitable for applications where reliable pressure indication is required. Licensed trades and service technicians install this gauge for system monitoring, commissioning, and diagnostics.
The ASHCROFT 83212 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, plumbing systems, compressor lines, and general fluid or gas service where a compact, lower-mount gauge is needed. The 1/4 inch NPT lower-mount connection makes it compatible with standard threaded ports found on manifolds, tees, and pressure taps across a wide range of piping systems. It is a dry (non-liquid-filled) gauge, appropriate for low-vibration installations.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation gauge for systems with 1/4 inch NPT lower-mount pressure ports, including HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical piping applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or mechanical contractor. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before installing or replacing any pressure gauge. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope appropriate for the system media to the NPT threads before installation. Avoid over-tightening, which can crack the gauge body or distort the Bourdon tube.
