The ASHCROFT 83200 is an analog industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding service environments. It features a 3.5-inch dial with a 0 to 300 psi range and delivers 1 percent of full-scale accuracy. The gauge is liquid-filled, which dampens needle vibration and extends service life in high-pulsation applications. The case is constructed from 304 and 316 stainless steel, and the Bourdon tube is 316 stainless steel, making this gauge suitable for corrosive media and outdoor installation. A polycarbonate lens provides impact resistance and readability. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial service professionals typically specify this gauge for system pressure verification and permanent panel installation.
This gauge is suited for residential and commercial applications where a robust, corrosion-resistant pressure gauge is required. Typical installations include plumbing systems, HVAC hydronic loops, compressed air lines, water treatment equipment, and light industrial process piping. The 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection simplifies installation into existing tapped ports and panel cutouts. Designed as a direct-fit industrial pressure gauge for systems using standard 1/4-inch NPT center back mount ports across plumbing, HVAC hydronic, compressed air, and light industrial process applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified service technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the IFGC or IPC as appropriate. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before threading the gauge into the port. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads per the fitting manufacturer guidance, and do not overtighten, as stainless steel fittings are susceptible to galling. Verify the pressure range of the gauge is appropriate for the system maximum operating pressure before placing the system back in service.
