The ASHCROFT 83197 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding trade and industrial applications. It features a 3.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 100 psi range and delivers 1 percent of scale accuracy. The 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube and 304/316 stainless steel case provide corrosion resistance in harsh environments. The liquid-filled design dampens needle vibration and protects internal components from pulsation and mechanical shock. A 1/4 inch NPT center back mount connection allows direct inline installation on pipework, manifolds, and equipment panels. Licensed HVAC techs, plumbers, and industrial service professionals install this gauge as a permanent system monitoring instrument.
This gauge suits residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant circuits, compressed air systems, hydraulic lines, and general industrial process piping where continuous pressure indication is required. The center back mount configuration is well suited for panel-mount installations and equipment enclosures. The polycarbonate lens provides impact resistance and clear dial visibility in field conditions. Applications where vibration, moisture ingress, or corrosive media are present benefit from the liquid-filled stainless steel construction and IP54 and IP65/NEMA 4 environmental ratings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install pressure gauge for industrial, commercial, and residential systems requiring a 1/4 inch NPT center back mount connection and a 0 to 100 psi analog indication range. Part of the ASHCROFT 1009 Series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPT connection per IPC and IFGC guidelines for the media being monitored. Do not overtighten the threaded connection, as stainless steel fittings are susceptible to galling.
