The ASHCROFT 83187 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for use in commercial and industrial fluid and gas systems where accurate, reliable pressure monitoring is required. It features a 2.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 400 psi range and a 1-percent-of-scale accuracy rating. The gauge uses a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube as the sensing element and is housed in a 304/316 stainless steel case with a polycarbonate lens. Liquid filling dampens pointer vibration and protects internal components in high-pulsation or high-vibration environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals are the typical installers.
This gauge is suited for residential and commercial applications involving water, oil, gas, and compatible fluid systems where a back-mount configuration is required. The center back mount and 0.25-inch NPT male connection allow direct installation into pipelines, manifolds, or process equipment panels. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for mildly corrosive or washdown environments. The liquid-filled design is especially useful in pump discharge, compressed air, and hydraulic monitoring applications where pressure pulsations are common.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install industrial pressure gauge for systems requiring a 0.25-inch NPT center back mount connection and a 0 to 400 psi analog gauge in a 2.5-inch dial format.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified industrial maintenance technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or fitting the new gauge into the port. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPT threads per local code requirements, and do not over-tighten, as stainless fittings can gall. Verify that the process fluid is compatible with stainless steel wetted parts before placing the gauge in service.
