The ASHCROFT 83186 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding commercial and industrial systems. It features a 2-1/2 inch analog dial with a 0 to 300 psi range and 1% of full-scale accuracy. The center back mount configuration with a 1/4 inch NPT connection suits panel-mount and inline installations. The stainless steel case (grades 304 and 316) and Bourdon tube made from 316 stainless steel provide strong resistance to corrosion and mechanical stress. A polycarbonate lens protects the dial face. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial pipefitters typically install this gauge on pressure systems requiring reliable, readable measurement under vibration or pulsation.
The ASHCROFT 83186 is suited for industrial piping, HVAC hydronic systems, compressed air lines, and fluid process equipment where a panel-ready or back-mount gauge is required. The liquid-filled design dampens needle flutter caused by system vibration or pressure spikes, improving readability and extending gauge service life. The center back mount allows clean panel installations without front-projecting connections. Designed as an OEM-style industrial pressure gauge for use in hydronic, compressed air, fluid process, and general industrial piping applications requiring a 1/4 inch NPT center back mount connection and a 2-1/2 inch dial format.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPT connection per IPC and IFGC guidelines for the service fluid. Do not overtighten the threaded connection, as this can damage the Bourdon tube or gauge socket.
