The ASHCROFT 83169 is a liquid-filled industrial pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding service environments. It features a 3.5-inch analog dial with a 0 to 15 psi range and delivers 1% of scale accuracy. The case is constructed from 304/316 stainless steel, and the Bourdon tube is 316 stainless steel, making this gauge well suited for applications involving moisture, vibration, or corrosive media. The 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection allows direct inline or panel installation. A polycarbonate lens protects the dial face. Licensed and certified trades install this gauge in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial process systems where reliable low-pressure indication is required.
The ASHCROFT 83169 is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, HVAC hydronic loops, compressed air lines, and industrial process piping operating at pressures up to 15 psi. The liquid-filled design dampens needle vibration and protects internal components against pulsation and pressure spikes, extending service life in pump-discharge or compressor-outlet applications. The lower-mount NPT connection suits installations where the gauge mounts directly to a pipe tee, manifold, or test port from below.
Designed as an OEM-style or replacement industrial pressure gauge for plumbing, HVAC hydronic, compressed air, and light industrial process systems requiring a 1/4-inch NPT lower-mount connection and a 0 to 15 psi measurement range.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing any existing gauge or fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads per the applicable installation code, and tighten to hand-tight plus the manufacturer-recommended turns without over-torquing the stainless steel case. Verify the system is fully purged and re-pressurized to rated test pressure before returning to service.
