Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local mechanical codes. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing an existing gauge or threading the new gauge into the port. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads per standard practice, and avoid overtightening, which can crack the gauge socket. Because this gauge is not liquid-filled, it should be mounted in applications where significant vibration is not present, as vibration can reduce service life and accuracy.
