The ASHCROFT 82132 is a liquid-filled analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial service applications. It features a 2.5-inch stainless steel dial face with a pressure range of -30 to 300 psi and a stated accuracy of 1% of scale. The liquid-filled housing dampens needle vibration and protects the internal movement from pulsating pressures and mechanical shock. The 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection makes it a straightforward drop-in for panel-mounted or pipe-mounted installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this type of gauge.
This gauge is suited for residential and light commercial systems where a compact, readable dial is needed on pressure lines, boilers, water supply headers, compressor outlets, or chilled water loops. The stainless steel case offers corrosion resistance in wet or chemically active environments. The center back mount configuration positions the dial face flush against a panel or directly in line with a threaded pipe tap, keeping the installation clean and the dial readable from the front. No special tools beyond a wrench and thread sealant are required for a standard install.

Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the line before removing the existing gauge or fitting the new one. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads before installation — do not overtighten, as stainless steel fittings can gall. Verify that the system operating pressure does not exceed the gauge maximum rating of 300 psi during normal or transient conditions.
